Christina Grodynska (Chris) is a long-term student of health and fitness techniques who has achieved success in aerobics competitions overseas.  Chris began practicing yoga in 2001 and on reading of Madonna's interest in Ashtanga Yoga (and with no classes available locally), commenced self-practice in January 2002.  After devoting three years to self-study and self-practice,  Chris undertook Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training (First Series) with David Swenson in 2005.  In 2009 Chris completed 200 hours of Intensive Teacher Training (Yoga Alliance UK Diploma) with Michael Gannon and Brian Cooper, then followed this up with a further 60 hours of Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training (Second Series) with David Swenson in 2010.

Additional training and studies have also been guided by a number of world-renowned Ashtanga Yoga teachers, including Manju Jois, John Scott, Iain Clark, Danny Paradise, Matthew Sweeney and Kino MacGregor, as well as by Yogacharya Venkatesha, Srivatsa Ramaswami and Ana Forrest.  Chris has also gained experience in Iyengar techniques.

Classes in Ashtanga Yoga are held at the Longniddry Church Hall in Elcho Road, Longniddry (map), at the Gullane Gym, 6D Hall Crescent, Gullane (map), at the Trinity Centre, Church Street (map) and at the Bridge Centre, 11 Poldrate, Haddington, East Lothian, Scotland.
